Botanical name:Rosa Forty Heroes (Rosa ‘BAInial’)

Virtues: Deep yellow hybrid-tea flowers with a fruity fragrance. Hearty constitution. Bailey Nurseries, the rose’s breeder, donates some sale proceeds to fund the maintenance of the “Remember Me” Rose Gardens, three gardens in New York City, Washington, D.C. and Pennsylvania that memorialize the people who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.

Flower: Deep yellow with a hybrid-tea form. To 4 inches across. Fruity fragrance.

Foliage: Green.

Habit: Upright. 3 to 4 feet tall.

Season: Spring and summer.

Cultivation: Full sun. Fertile soil and moderate water. Highly resistant to black spot and mildew. USDA Zones 5–9.
