This vase-shaped blue-hued grass has wide leaves and airy purplish plumes. Over 5 feet in height and upright, it remains standing through winter snow. It looks great planted in groups, as a specimen plant and even in large containers.

Height: 4–6 feet
Spread: 2–3 feet

Plant this native warm-season grass in the full sun in clay, sandy or average soil. Once established, this grass tolerates drought. Growing it in leaner soil and on the dry side enhances its color.
