Add Soft Color to the Garden With ‘Honey Trumpet’ Foxglove

Foxgloves have been a garden staple for centuries dating as far back as the Middle Ages. Today, this European native has made a home for itself in gardens around the world. Foxglove is a versatile plant that works beautifully in a cottage garden, cutting garden or within a formal garden design. A new variety, ‘Honey Trumpet’, has us falling in love with foxgloves all over again.

Botanical Name: Digitalis ‘Honey Trumpet’
Size: 2 feet tall and wide
Blooms: Amber and honey-colored tubular flowers persist for much of the summer. New flower stalks are produced throughout the summer.
Foliage: Shiny green leaves radiate out from multiple, low-growing rosettes
Zones: 6-9
‘Honey Trumpet’ prefers morning sun and afternoon shade. For a healthy plant, select a site with well-draining, compost-amended, loamy soil. ‘Honey Trumpet’ is a wonderful plant for attracting butterflies, hummingbirds, bees and other pollinators, and it is deer and rabbit resistant.
