More Christmas-Tree Recycling Tips

Readers sent these notes in response to the article “Ways to Recycle a Christmas Tree.”
Carol from Sudbury, Mass., wrote, “Those of us with heather plants cut the branches from the Christmas tree and cover the heathers loosely with them to keep cold winds from damaging the leaves and buds of the plants.”
Another reader reported that the Wyoming Game and Fish gathered and submerged in Ocean Lake, a man-made lake for fish habituate near Riverton, Wyoming.
