Audubon to Warhol: The Art of American Still Life

Garden trekkers, make room on your calendars to attend an upcoming show at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The show Audubon to Warhol: The Art of American Still Life surveys the history of American still life. The earliest section of the show addresses the interest of late 18th- and early 19th-century painters, a period focused on in precise visual description. The exhibition will evoke the different ways in which American still-life painters have interpreted nature for more than two centuries.
