Tip of the Week: Feed your houseplants while you make your lunch

It may stink a bit, and your cat may try to eat the plant, but it works!

Quick (Stinky!) Fertilizer

If you use canned tuna in water, add a little of the water to the soil of your houseplants instead of pouring it down the drain. It works as a light, fishy fertilizer—offering micronutrients to the plant. Your plants will love it as long as your cat doesn't try to eat the plant! You may want to move the plants into a closed space for a day or two until the fishy smell dissipates.
