Stop Hyacinths from Flopping

It’s easy to do!

Here's how to stake hyacinths to enjoy their bloom for the longest period.

Hyacinths can be prone to flopping over, particularly if there's a heavy rain or temperatures are warm. To prevent hyacinths from flopping, push a thin bamboo stake into the soil right next to the flowering stem. Insert it only a few inches so that you don't pierce the bulb. Tie the stake to the stem just below the flower.
