Here’s a tip from a “Smart Gardening Tips” reader:
I never pass up the opportunity, when I prune, to dip some of the best cuttings in rooting hormone and stick them in a pot with a sand and peat mixture. Kept in the shade with a vented plastic cover, some do root. New plant—no cost. Plastic bottles with their bottoms cut off and no cap make great little greenhouses.
