GARDEN TOOLS AND ACCESSORIES
Greenworks battery-powered garden tools — If you’re looking to switch from gas-powered tools, there’s a range of Greenworks mowers, string trimmers, chain saws and more marked down for Cyber Monday. (Read our post on battery-powered equipment.) including a great deal on a self-propelled mower that comes with a cordless drill/driver.
Fiskars Bypass Pruners — Use these for light pruning of woody plants. They can snip stems and small branches up to 5/8 of an inch in diameter.
Nisaku Hori-Hori Knife — This kind of tool is incredibly versatile, with its narrow blade that’s toothed on one side and marked with a ruler. It’s great for weeding, planting bulbs, transplanting seedlings, light pruning, cleaning up edging, removing small sections of unwanted turfgrass and more.
Mumtop Bamboo Wind Chimes — We recently posted an article about incorporating all five senses in garden design. (Read it here.) Wind chimes are a great way to engage the sense of hearing, and this is a beautiful natural wood set.
Blue Seal Bird Suet Variety Pack — This pack includes six suet cakes of different fruit and nut recipes. Suet is fantastic for attracting woodpeckers, nuthatches and other birds in winter. It provides them fat and protein and it tends to go fast once the birds notice it, so stocking up with a multi-pack is always smart.
Leses Propagation Station — This is a small, cute tabletop stand that suspends three clear glass vases for rooting cuttings in water.
Root Farm LED Grow Light — Get ready for seed starting with this adjustable grow light. It can stand on a tabletop or be suspended above your seedlings. Its adjustable height makes it easy to adapt its position as the plants grow taller. This is key since you want your light source to remain just a few inches above the tops of seedlings.
Fiskars Micro-Tip Pruning Snips — These are great for cleaning up houseplants and pinching back seedlings. They also work well for deadheading annuals and perennials out in the garden. And the deal is a two pack, so you can keep a pair in the kitchen and a pair in the shed!
Sophia Mills Mid Century Plant Stand — Here’s a cute wooden stand for indoor use. It elevates the pot off the floor, but seems less likely to tip over if a person or pet bumps against it. It’s also adjustable to grasp pots of different diameters.
