Virtues: Easy to grow, long bloom, no staking, hundreds of flowers from each plant. Blooms within 2 to 3 months of sowing.
Flower: Could be orange, yellow, magenta, violet, red. Colors are generally vibrant, although striking pastels and bi-colors also occur.
Foliage: Deep to light green leaves are typical; although dark red leaves appear on some seedlings, as do blackish stems.
Habit: Erect, vase-shaped, leafy. Generally grow 4 to 6 feet tall.
Season: Early summer to late fall.
Companions: Your imagination is the only limit.
