Virtues: We love Zahara Double Fire zinnia for its spectacular scarlet-orange, double blooming flowers.The dense, bushy plant is a continuous bloomer from late spring until frost. Double Fire is tolerant of heat, humidity and drought, and displays good resistance to leaf spot and powdery mildew.

Botanical name: Zinnia marylandica
Foliage: Medium green
Habit: Compact habit. Grows to a mature 12 to 15 inches tall and 15 to 18 inches wide
Season: Late spring until early fall
Origin: Southern United States and Mexico
Cultivation: Grow in well-drained soil, and space plants generously to avoid overcrowding. Pinch young plants if needed to promote compact, bushy form. Deadhead spent flowers to promote additional bloom. Full sun. Annual.
