Life Is What Happens When You’re Busy Buying Other Plants

On Friday night I sauntered into Home Depot, wearing a sundress, and bought some Dahlia tubers. It was in the 60s and sunny- and it had been for a few days. The local news teasers kept talking about snow this weekend- but I didn't see how that was possible. I mean, even if it did snow... how could it stick with the ground getting all warm and gooey, like a Cinnabon, all week?

Then this happened.

I think I doomed the greater Chicagoland area by buying those Dahlias. Sue me.
