If your yard includes a patio between the house and the garden, you know it can serve as a great link between indoor and outdoor living. Yet because a patio is paved and includes furniture, it can sometimes seem more "house" than "garden." One simple way to make the patio blend better with the garden is to remove a few of the pavers at its edge. In their place put large pots for planting.
