Your Ideas: Shred Debris for Mulch

Submitted by admin on September 21, 2009 – 12:09 amNo Comment

Instead of waiting to mulch the garden in spring after all the seeds and plants—and weeds—have come up, clear away and shred debris in the fall or very early in the spring and spread it over the entire garden. When it comes time to plant, just make space enough to plant the seed row or starter plants. The weeds never have a chance to get ahead of you.
