Poetry Guidelines: The editors of Horticulture read with interest and attention every poem submitted to the magazine and, quite simply, we publish those that seem to us to be the best and most relevant to our readers. Our interest is in the broadest possible range of work as long as there is a connection to gardening: traditional forms and free verse, the meditative lyric and the "light" or comic poem, the work of the famous and the work of the unknown. Our one limitation is length; we are unable to publish very long poems, and our limit is 42 lines. Poetry manuscripts of no more than three unpublished poems (or previously published in anthologies or literary journals) will be accepted electronically (.DOC or .RTF format only). Simultaneous submissions are accetpable, if noted; we will respond in four to six weeks and will pay upon acceptance. Poetry submissions must be emailed to: edit@hortmag.com
Horticulture welcomes letters from its readers. Please email us at edit@hortmag.com to submit mail for our Mailbox column. For your letter to be considered, you must include your phone number and postal address. Alternatively, you may contact us via the Co-Hort's Forum in the Horticulture Magazine section. Feedback on our Web site, or other queries relating to the magazine or Hortmag.com are also welcome in our Co-Hort's forum. For questions relating to your subscription to the magazine, advertising or bulk sales, please refer to our Contact Us page. |
