‘Sunshine Blue’ Blueberry

Latin name: Vaccinium ‘Sunshine Blue’

Common name: ‘Sunshine Blue’ blueberry

Virtues: Dwarf evergreen (up to 2 feet), self-fruiting, and highly ornamental.

Bloom color: Pale to dark pink blossoms.

Leaf/foliage: Grey/green with a reddish tint.

Goes great with: A shrub border or as a container plant.

Habit: Compact rounded evergreen shrub.

Season: Flowers in April and May. Ripe fruit throughout July and August.

Tips: Originated in Florida although widely adapted as far north as zone 5 or 6. Produces loads of delicious, dime-size blueberries. USDA hardiness zones 5-10. More blueberry-growing tips.
