Plant name: Rhododendron ‘Marydel’

Virtues: Very fragrant.

Flower color: Deep pink buds opening to very light pink.

Leaf/Foliage: Bluish green.

Habit: Three feet tall by three feet wide.

Season: Spring

Suggested by: Bob Hoffman at Fairweather Gardens.

Where does it come from: A natural hybrid found on Maryland’s Eastern Shore by Polly Hill.

Tips: Zones 6 to 9.
