Plant name: ‘Tiki Torch’ coneflower
Botanical name: Echinacea ‘Tiki Torch’
Virtues: Fragrant flowers, deep orange flower color, large flower size, long period of bloom and ease of care.
Flowers: Daisy-type flowers with deep orange centers and vivid orange petals on 3-foot-tall stems. They have a spicy scent. The flowers keep their intense color for weeks, while some coneflowers fade after just a few days.
Habit: Upright, clump-forming herbaceous perennial, about 2 feet tall and wide, with 3-foot-tall flower stems.
Season: Summer.
Cultivation: Plant in full sun. Tolerates dry soil between rainfall or watering. Deadheading the flowers will prolong the bloom. USDA Zones 4–9.
