The Fullerton Arboretum is pleased to announce it will resume its monthly free nature guided tours of the grounds beginning September 18, 2010. Tours were discontinued temporarily during August, but will begin again in September for the fall season. They generally run all year with the exception of August and January.
Tours are scheduled for the 3rd Saturday of each month, beginning at 10:00 am. They begin at the Nature Center, near the entrance of the Arboretum, and usually last approximately one hour, depending on the number of participants and which tour is taken. Tours are free; however voluntary donations are encouraged at the front entrance to help support the gardens and educational programs at the Arboretum.
Reservations are normally not required, however if you plan to tour with a group of 10 or more people (all ages welcome), please contact our main office if possible 30 days prior to your visit to formally schedule the tour. The number to call for reservations is (657) 278-3407.
Tours are designed for all age groups and are very enjoyable and educational. Bring comfortable walking shoes, water and a hat if needed, as it can get warm. Children are encouraged to attend with families.
The Fullerton Arboretum is located on the CSUF campus one block west of the 57 freeway at Yorba Linda Blvd. and Associated Road. For further information on classes, programs and events, call (657) 278-3407 or visit our website at www.fullertonarboretum.org.
