Something has been eating my tomatoes, and over the weekend I saw the culprit. A woodchuck waddled over, reached up, bent a branch down and grabbed a tomato! How can I keep woodchucks out of my vegetable garden?

The Wedding- Part 3, The Conclusion

Submitted by Amanda Thomsen on June 14, 2009 – 12:06 amNo Comment

So, the wedding was last night and I made it to the church on time. Sort of.
The final product:

The trio of super-large, planted up bad boys that you saw in my last post got nixed at the last minute, as did the chair hangers due to some nasty Chicago weather. The ceremony was moved inside- and for some reason The Art Institute of Chicago wasn’t keen on having big pots of dirt sitting on the grand marble staircase. I totally don’t blame them.
The chair configuration got screwy when it moved indoors so the chair hangers couldn’t be used. Total cryin’ shame. They were SO cheap but SO labor intensive- and that’s always what makes the neatest stuff!
Here they are a day later looking a little droopy. But you get the idea.

If more than 3 people ask for it, I can provide step-by-step a tutorial on these. You should have seen them yesterday, they were pretty cute, today they look like someone sat on them.
Well, it’s over and I’m so, so tired. It was a lot of work but I think it looked good in the end. And it was way more fun than giving them a toaster as a wedding gift. Which reminds me, I was so wrapped up in all this I forgot to even get a card for the happy couple. Sigh.
I’ll be in the forum, yo.
