Without Further Ado: My New Hort Tattoo

I just got home from getting my birthday tattoo. I’m tired and very, very sore. I held up like a brave little soldier during the actual procedure, but now I feel like a rag doll that did 4 hours of circuit-training.

Details:  I went to Speakeasy Tattoo in the Flatiron Building in Wicker Park, Scott Fricke did this work and he was A-friggin’-mazing. Seriously. It took a little over 2 hours to make something this awesome.

But first, I dedicate this tattoo to all the horticulturists out there that see badly pruned red-twig Dogwoods, standing out brightly against the snow, that want to stop the car- literally pull over, tresspass in a stranger’s yard or perhaps public golf course… and prune the devil out of those Dogwoods to make the world a little bit better of a place. Yeah. You.

I’m too achey to post the during shots here, but I’ll post them on the Kiss My Aster Facebook page. Maybe.
Forum, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz…
