This photo was brought to my attention on the floor of the Independent Garden Center show. The plant’s owner said the foliage was very much like a Spirea. Zone 5.

MY GUESS IS OREGANO. IT MAKES A GREAT DRIED FLOWER TO USE IN ARRANGEMENTS.
My guess is an ornamental oregano, possibly Origanum vulgare ‘Herrenhausen’. It’s a great plant: prolific bloomer and great in heat and drought. Good edging perennial.
That looks like an ornamental oregano to me. My guess would be Origanum vulgare ‘Herrenhausen.’ A very prolific midsummer bloomer, and great in heat and drought.
