When privacy is overrated…

Bad to the phloem!I was promised a privacy fence at the back property line by the landlord when I looked at this house. It didn’t happen and it bothered me all summer. I was just about to just go out and do it myself, when…

Well, here’s the whole story…

Ugh. I had such big plans for the back bit of my yard- I don’t even really show you photos of it because I’m looking right thought a crappy chain-link fence and at a romantic scene like this…

The View

This is when I hung really cool Ivy baskets from the trees, it looked cool- but I didn’t show you because the neighbor had their wash out on the line. I’m ALL FOR hanging your wash out on the line, but she had pants that I thought were stirrup pants- but it just turns out they were really worn out at the cuffs which gave a faux-stirrup appearance. Enough said.

The Night of the Living Wall

This is when I decided I was going to try and make a living wall with bulb crates that I saw in Studio G (scroll down, it’s not the first few photos) but mine was going to be  BETTER!

Ha.

Too bad I didn’t set up drip irrigation, or water it in any fashion, for that matter. It’s a cool idea. Not in my hands.

Then the basement flooded, it got hotter than a Hello Kitty toaster and I started to not care so much about the back fence… But I was pricing sections at the Big Box and thinking that when it got a little cooler, I’d just do it…

You know what happens when you give up hope, right?
