Booze, Vegetables & The Best Christmas Song Ever

Submitted by on December 6, 2009 – 12:12 amNo Comment

I am about to hop an international flight to see this new reality show that’s airing  ONLY in Ireland this week. It features Shane MacGowan (The Pogues) and his wife attempting to live off the land by growing enough vegetables to feed themselves.

I had the great…um, pleasure… of working a Shane MacGowan show when I worked as a rock n’ roll catering girl many years ago. I was so excited to meet him because I’m a big fan. However, all of that faded fast after he nearly barfed on me. Seriously, he was so drunk on stage that he stopped singing, ran down the stage stairs, passed me by a few feet and puked. I’m not a huge fan of pukers, but I’d love to see him try to farm!
And Fairytale Of New York is still the best Christmas song. Ever.
Seriously.
