Botanical name: Impatiens walleriana 'Midnight Blend'

Virtues: Dazzling gemstone colors add interest to shady spots. This annual can be grown in clumps, as edging, in containers or indoors.

Flower: Can be ruby red, burgundy, raspberry, grape, cherry or hot pink

Foliage: Dark green, succulent, toothed

Habit: Mounded

Season: Summer

Companions: Yellow, blue or white pansies
