Summer Reading

Passionate gardeners often spend their reading time immersed in the pages of serious gardening books. When summer rolls around, though, what’s needed is something a little lighter. (Besides, Michael Dirr’s Manual of Woody Landscape Plants doesn’t fit well into a beach bag.) Here are a few recommendations for those who want to take a summer vacation from their reference shelves.
